Supreme Court Orders Security to Remove Petitioner from Courtroom

In a tense courtroom exchange, a petitioner was removed by security after refusing to heed the Supreme Court's advice to refrain from naming a judge during his arguments. Arun Ramchandra Hublikar had filed a petition against former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, claiming his life was disrupted by Gogoi's interference in a service dispute. The bench, comprising Justices Bela M Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma, dismissed Hublikar's claims, stating there was "nothing in his case." Despite the court's insistence on dismissing the petition, Hublikar persisted, claiming injustice and demanding to be heard. The situation escalated when Justice Trivedi ordered security to escort him out, warning him against further outbursts. This incident follows a previous rebuke from Chief Justice DY Chandrachud regarding Hublikar's petition practices. Ultimately, the court reiterated its decision to dismiss all of Hublikar's petitions. sources

Scientists Say Two People Communicated Through Dreams and Brain Waves

In a groundbreaking experiment, scientists at California-based company REMspace have achieved two-way communication between individuals during lucid dreaming, a state where dreamers can control their dreams. Conducted on September 24, the experiment involved experienced lucid dreamers connected to specialized equipment that monitored their brain activity. As one participant entered a lucid dream, the system detected the change and transmitted a word from a unique language, "Remmyo," via earbuds. The word "Zhilak" was heard and repeated by the dreamer, with sensors capturing the response. The second participant, also in a lucid state, received the same word and confirmed its accuracy upon waking. This innovative technology could have far-reaching implications for mental health treatment and skill development, although further validation by independent researchers is necessary. REMspace CEO Michael Raduga expressed optimism about the potential for this technology to revolutionize communication in the dream world. sources

Kerala Prepares for 3 Bypolls; Priyanka Gandhi's Poll Debut

Kerala is set for bypolls in two Assembly seats and the high-profile Wayanad constituency, with the Election Commission announcing voting dates for November 13, and counting on November 23.
