Travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, known as Jyoti Rani, was arrested on Saturday in Haryana for allegedly spying for Pakistan and leaking sensitive military information. The 33-year-old, who runs the YouTube channel 'Travel With Jo' and has a significant following on Instagram, has traveled extensively, including two visits to Pakistan. Her content from Pakistan, which included visits to Lahore and cultural comparisons, raised suspicions among Indian authorities. It is alleged that during her first visit, she developed ties with Ehsan-ur-Rahim, a Pakistani High Commission official, and subsequently communicated with Pakistani intelligence operatives, sharing sensitive details about Indian Army movements. Malhotra's arrest follows India's Operation Sindoor, a response to a deadly terror attack in April, after which Rahim was expelled from India for espionage activities. She is one of six individuals charged under espionage laws.

May 18 2025, 8 am ISTeznews.inNEW DELHI: The Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) 63rd PSLV launch, intended to deploy the EOS-9 surveillance satellite, ended in failure due to a drop in chamber pressure during the third stage. The launch took place at 5.59 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, following successful initial stages. ISRO chairman V Narayanan, who previously identified issues in the Chandrayaan-2 mission, confirmed the anomaly occurred in the solid fuel stage. The EOS-9 satellite, designed to enhance India's remote sensing capabilities and provide critical data across various sectors, was meant to orbit 500 kilometres above the Earth. In light of the failure, both ISRO's internal committee and an external government panel will investigate the incident, with findings expected in a few weeks. Despite the setback, four radar satellites and eight cartosats remain operational, though EOS-9's unique all-weather capabilities will take years to replace.
