Why Chief Justice-Designate Sanjiv Khanna Stopped Morning Walks

Justice Sanjiv Khanna is set to be sworn in as the 51st Chief Justice of India on Monday, marking a significant change in his daily routine, particularly his cherished morning walks. Solar Flare Disrupts Radio Signals, Threatens Global Infrastructure

A strong solar flare, classified as an X2.3 class event, caused a shortwave radio blackout affecting parts of the Atlantic Ocean, South America, and Africa at 8:40 am ET on November 6, according to NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory. The flare disrupted high-frequency radio signals, highlighting the potential impact of solar activity on international communications. Such flares can also jeopardize global navigation systems, electrical power grids, and pose risks to spacecraft and astronauts due to increased radiation exposure. Scientists are awaiting data from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) to determine if a coronal mass ejection (CME) will reach Earth, which could trigger geomagnetic storms and potentially create auroras. Solar flares are ranked on a scale where X-class flares are the most intense, with each class being ten times stronger than the one below it. sources

The NSCN(IM) has conducted over 600 rounds of negotiations with the Indian government since signing the ceasefire in 1997, but tensions have escalated as the group insists it will not wait indefinitely for resolution. Muivah stated that if peaceful means are rejected, the NSCN(IM) would resume violent resistance to defend Nagalim's unique history and sovereignty.
