A man narrowly avoided serious injury when a building under construction at Kannauj Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh collapsed on Saturday, trapping about two dozen workers beneath the debris. CCTV footage captured the moment he was walking with a wooden pole around the scaffolding just before the roof shuttering, a temporary support structure, fell. At the time of the incident, 35 workers were present on-site for the new terminal project under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). So far, 23 workers have been rescued, with 20 suffering minor injuries and three sustaining serious injuries. Rescue operations, involving local authorities and teams from the National and State Disaster Response Forces, continue.
