When she requested an email confirmation, they fabricated a system outage. Her suspicions grew when they instructed her to use Google Pay for confirmation. After verifying with the actual hotel, she discovered the listing was fake. Following her complaint, the Cybercrime department removed the fraudulent listing. Mitra's experience resonated with many, prompting discussions about online safety and personal anecdotes of similar scams, highlighting the urgent need for awareness in the face of increasing digital fraud.
