The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has unveiled RuralTech CoLab, a new portal designed to unify the rural tech start-up ecosystem. This initiative aims to foster innovation by connecting fintech, agritech, and digital partners to develop tailored solutions for agriculture and rural development. A NABARD spokesperson emphasized that the platform will facilitate a structured onboarding process for ecosystem partners, granting them access to the bank's extensive grassroots network, which includes self-help groups, farmer producer organisations, and cooperative banks. The launch coincided with NABARD's 44th Foundation Day celebrations in Chennai, where the bank also introduced a WhatsApp channel for market advisories and information on farmer producer organisations (FPOs). Chairman Shaji K V highlighted NABARD's commitment to digital transformation and sustainable development, aiming to nurture entrepreneurial ecosystems and scale impactful solutions in rural areas.
