Nag Ashwin's sci-fi action film, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, has been making waves at the box office since its release on June 27. The film earned a whopping ₹302.4 crore nett in India in all languages on Sunday, with an impressive opening day collection of ₹95.3 crore. Kalki 2898 AD has garnered a total of ₹415 crore worldwide in just three days. Prabhas, known as 'darling', offered advice to newcomer Humhu during filming, while Deepika Padukone helped ease his nerves. The film, which blends sci-fi with mythological elements, follows the story of a bounty hunter named Bhairava, played by Prabhas, and a pregnant test subject named SUM-80, portrayed by Deepika. Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan also play pivotal roles in the movie, which has been released in all south Indian languages and Hindi in 2D and 3D formats.

Actor Siddique has been elected as the new general secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) during the annual general body meeting held at the Sree Gokulam Convention Centre in Kochi.
