The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is poised to enhance India's satellite surveillance capabilities with the launch of the EOS-9 radar imaging satellite, scheduled for Sunday at 5:59 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. This 1,696-kilogram satellite, equipped with a C-band synthetic aperture radar, can capture high-resolution images in all weather conditions and at night, significantly improving imagery compared to the existing Cartosat-3. As part of ISRO's 101st rocket launch, EOS-9 will orbit over 500 kilometers above Earth, joining India's constellation of over 57 satellites, including four radar satellites that monitor border tensions with Pakistan.
