Located on the sixth floor of Ratnam's Complex on M. G. Road, the establishment reportedly lacks a no objection certificate from the Fire Department. Following a complaint from social activists H. M. Venkatesh and Kunigal Narasimhamurthy, the BBMP issued a notice on November 29, to which no response has been received. The BBMP has now set a seven-day deadline for clarification, warning of potential legal action if it is ignored. Venkatesh highlighted the broader issue of high-rise restaurants operating without adequate fire safety measures, referencing past tragedies like the Carlton Towers fire. He criticized the BBMP and Fire Department for their lax enforcement of safety regulations, expressing concern over ongoing violations in the city.
