Reshma Muzaffar Qazi, 41, has been arrested for the stabbing of her 62-year-old mother, Sabira Bano Azgar Sheikh. The conflict arose from Reshma's belief that her mother favored her elder sister, leading to longstanding resentment. Sabira, who lived with her son in Mumbra, had visited Reshma when the confrontation escalated. In a fit of rage, Reshma retrieved a kitchen knife and fatally stabbed her mother. Following the incident, she walked into the Chunabhatti police station and confessed to the crime.
